Send Best Gift is a pan-India gifting portal, offering a wide range of gifts, cakes, and flowers. Built on CodeIgniter (CI), the project is ongoing and continuously optimized for high performance, advanced order management, and secure payment processing. The platform is designed to handle high order volumes and seasonal spikes.
Project challenge, solution & result
The challenge was to support a large catalog, high order volume, and a variety of payment gateways (PayU, Cashfree, PayPal, UPI, etc.), especially during festivals. The business required a robust admin panel, real-time order tracking, and a scalable backend to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Managing a large product catalog, ensuring fast load times, and supporting multiple payment gateways were key challenges. The team addressed these by using caching, optimized queries, CDN integration, and maintaining compliance with payment industry standards. Logistics and customer support were also enhanced for better user experience.
We built a modular CodeIgniter backend, integrated PayU, Cashfree, PayPal, UPI, and card payments, and developed a robust admin dashboard for efficient management. Real-time order tracking, advanced search, and personalized recommendations were implemented. Ongoing improvements include performance optimization, A/B testing, and new feature rollouts based on analytics and user feedback.
The platform now handles thousands of orders daily with high uptime and customer satisfaction. The business has grown significantly since launch, with ongoing enhancements driving further growth and operational excellence.
