The main challenge was to create a scalable platform capable of handling a large catalog, high order volumes, and seasonal spikes, while supporting a variety of payment gateways and ensuring data security. The business required a robust admin panel, real-time order tracking, and a scalable backend to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Building a scalable, pan-India gifting platform that could handle high order volumes, a large product catalog, and seasonal spikes was a significant challenge. The platform needed to support multiple payment gateways, ensure data security, and provide a seamless checkout experience. Additionally, the business required real-time order tracking, efficient logistics integration, and a robust admin panel for day-to-day operations.
We developed a modular CodeIgniter backend, integrated PayU, Cashfree, PayPal, UPI, and card payments, and built a custom admin dashboard for product, order, and customer management. Real-time order tracking, advanced search, and personalized recommendations were implemented. Ongoing improvements include performance optimization, new feature rollouts, and continuous user feedback integration.
The platform now handles thousands of orders daily with high uptime and customer satisfaction. The business has grown significantly since launch, with ongoing enhancements driving further growth and operational excellence in the Indian gifting market.
